“Archimultidoor” ‘s door was unknown. Now we know what door it is. New-York’s door.

But, Why this city?

I think you know why. Obviously New-York is one of the place where multiculturalism is rooted more deeper. We find here Manhattan’s district which also contains the districts of Little Italy, Chinatown, Little Arabia and Harlem. Those which we are going to show. A lot of small theaters which coexist in a frantic movement.

The frantic movement and the non-stop development are all representative of American culture, that’s clearly visible in the district of Manhattan, where the human’s houses have become endless tower.

The island is the symbol of the U.S.A.’s culture with a lot of people who carry many point of view and many costumes, so, many cultures.

Statue of liberty represent american independence but also cultures independence. It’s the demonstration of a free world, where man is similar to other, where man is master of his future, where the country of birth doesn’t conflict whit the possibilities.

Thanks to the possibilities, which acted like a magnet, we can see a lot of cultures that are ready to show their changes finally.

Where New-York’s door is opened the streets are opened.

The group borns with the aim of approaching at the thin lines that connect all cultures, in a modern conception of the city, that’s named Multi-cultural city.

The project will be based on the study of the contest and the production of a video. You can follow us on the blog where we’ll post the “making of” and also the some thoughts about the theory.

The video’s technique will be a particular mix of stop-motion and toon-shading.

We wish you a good view, hoping the streets will lead us.

VERSIONE IN ITALIANO

A city gate is open, but we don’ t know which city it belongs to. What we know is that, in the relationship between space and time, time is now. All the rest is in front of us: ways to be, directions to choose.

So, how to choose?

We’re observers with watchful eyes. The city doesn’ t belong to us. It’s a destination: so distant as so close. We’ve the chance of not choosing. We can walk them all. We could be carried away by what we want to know, because the theater of human actions is so strange and alive at the same time. If we don’t have a culture, if we’re distant observers, if we don’t search for what disturbs our quiet.

So, is it possible to observe without a cultural base? And why do we do it?

It’s not possible in contemporary cities. We belong to a culture, we need a culture, and we’ll always go back to that unconsciously, as to be part of a group. As a matter of fact, in contemporary cities, all groups work together, synchronously and not, creating a world opened to us. We no longer need to choose then, we’re part of that totality now, which includes all cultures along with architecture.

We became the best observers of MULTICULTURE, thanks to new and particular point of view.

The city gate is open but we don’ t know what city it is, we only know that, in the relationship between space and time, the time is now. The ways are in front of us, directions to choose.

So, how to choose the direction?

We are observers from the watchful eyes. The city doesn’ t belong to us, it’s a destination as distant as close. We’ve the chance of not choosing a direction. We can walk them all. We may be carried away by what we want to know, because It’s so strange and so alive at the same time. The theater of human action will look like this, if we don’t have culture, if we are distant observers who decide to find out what disturbs our quiet.

So, is it possible to observe without a cultural base? And Why do we do that?

It isn’t possible in the contemporary city. It will become real and also useful if we use imagination. We belong to a culture. We need that culture unconsciously. We’ll go back to that culture because we need to be part of a group. In the contemporary city all groups work together as synchronously as asynchronously, that’s the world opened by our door. We don’t need a choice. We’re interested by the totality that includes all cultures and also architecture.

We’re now the best observers of MULTICULTURE,Thanks to the particular point of view.
